Exciting Times at APPE

LSB (www.laseda.es – parent company of APPE) has announced that it is has approved a major increase in capital, predominantly to fund the growth of APPE. This will be used to expand in to new markets and further innovate new products, materials and services. This is great news for the business, and underlines our committment to become the best packaging company in the world.

Our first expansion is in Poland. APPE Polska has been established and the construction of the new factory is to begin very soon. It is anticipated that this will be open later this year, and APPE will be able to supply PET preforms, plastic bottles, design services, new technologies such as DeepGrip and other exciting innovations to the whole region around Poland.

This is the first of APPE’s expansion plans to come to fruition, and we are looking forward to an exciting year ahead.

APPE’s Spanish team has won two prestigious Liderpack awards. More information about this will soon follow in a press release.

APPE is also delighted to have been shortlisted as a finalist in PepsiCo France’s Trophees Pures awards, in the sustainability category. This is for our expansion of the PET recycling plant in Beaune, France, which produces 35,000 tonnes of recycled PET each year from post-consumer PET waste. 100% of APPE’s rPET goes back in to the production of PET preforms and bottles and the plant is Europe’s largest producer of food-grade PET.
